Purple bell vine

Rhodochiton atrosanguineus

Also called Rhodochiton and Purple bells

Garden plant · Climbers

EVERY FLOWER IS TWO THINGS AT ONCE — a wide pink parasol with a long dark tube hanging out of the middle of it. The parasol is the calyx and it stays on for weeks after the tube has dropped, so the plant looks in flower far longer than it is.
